Computers for the Absolute Beginner - Rene Miles

This course is for you if you have never used a computer before and need to start at the very beginning. We provide one computer per participant and our patient friendly tutor will guide you through the basics of the keyboard, mouse, parts of a window, startup, shutdown and basic word processing. RSA training is mandatory in NSW for anyone involved with the sale, supply or promotion of alcohol and security staff at licensed venues. Painting with Gouache or Pastels - Anna Wills

Using water soluable gouache and soft pastels you can explore these mediums either separately or in combination. The gouache can be used again and again after it dries by just adding water. It is a no waste medium to be used for artwork on paper. Start with 5 colours and learn how to mix dozens of colours. Soft pastels and gouache are versatile and vibrant for both detailed work or abstracts. You can paint any subject in this medium.

Tide Pool Exploration - Kristy Nash
Travel to one of Port Macquarie's beautiful rocky shores during a daytime low tide. Here it is possible to learn the basics of tides and the stresses on intertidal life. There will be time to explore the intertidal zone and look at different specimens. At the end of the exploration participants will be brought together to identify and discuss the specimens found. An emphasis is placed on adaptations for intertidal living and conservation.
