Tide Pool Exploration - Kristy Nash
Travel to one of Port Macquarie's beautiful rocky shores during a daytime low tide. Here it is possible to learn the basics of tides and the stresses on intertidal life. There will be time to explore the intertidal zone and look at different specimens. At the end of the exploration participants will be brought together to identify and discuss the specimens found. An emphasis is placed on adaptations for intertidal living and conservation.

Marine Biology Lab - Kristy Nash
Participants will get a wide overview of all the types of life in the ocean. Topics that may be covered include Plankton, Algae, Fish and Marine Birds, Reptiles and Mammals. Live specimens, artifacts and photographs will be used as teaching tools. A major goal of the lab is to stress the diversity of life in the ocean with particular emphasis on organisms likely to be found in the Port Macquarie area.

Beginner Belly Dancing
You don't have to be slim or young - just enthusiastic and willing to improve your posture, develop grace and self-confidence and discover a way to express your own unique beauty and creativity through this ancient dance for women. All ages, shapes and sizes, dancers and non-dancers alike are encouraged to attend and learn rhythms as well as the history of this art form. Please wear long, full skirt, scarf or sash to tie around hips and bring a bottle of water.
